To spend an evening with Alessandro Jasci is tantamount to read ten books of art criticism, of the good and honest ones. He knows the world of contemporary art like his pockets, he’s a close friend of the greatest European gallerists but - differently from many colleagues of his - he never took advantage of anything. In his article published on the latest Flash Art issue, Jasci talks about what art used to be in Italy during the 60s and the 70s - with anecdotes of personal experiences - and he manages to explain why this country has become the periphery of the world. Alessandro is a friend, and he is also one of the most intellectually honest people I’ve ever known.
